DuBerry Mark
DuBerry is a guitarist and composer from Ireland. He plays
in a
variety of styles including rock, jazz-fusion, classical-acoustic
and experimental. As a composer, Mark's recent releases are
influenced
by artists such as the rock group Yes and include such diverse
genres as electronic-ambient, jazz, world-fusion,
progressive rock and classical.
Some of his other main influences include Genesis and other progressive
rock bands from the 70's, David Sylvian, Jethro Tull, Peter Gabriel,
Mike Oldfield, Kate Bush, Steely Dan, Pete Namlook, Moby, Pat Metheny
and The Yellowjackets, to name but a few. Mark records, engineers
and produces his own material in his studio in Dublin, Ireland. Here are a couple of short (1 min) samples from the CD: High Flyer Stories This album is mostly instrumental / electronic with some atmospheric vocals and features acoustic and electric guitars throughout. Rich and varied, the music will conjure up many moods and feelings and will appeal to fans of music by bands such as Yes etc. and all those who appreciate music with emotional depth, variety and power. In some ways, the music could be said to have a 'film-score' feel and some of the pieces have an 'epic' quality.
